SoftWave Technology That Heals

Let’s get rid of your PAIN with Better Results, Faster Healing, Start Now!

Let the healing begin one softwave at a time.

SoftWaves are created by means of a high-energy electrical discharge in water. The voltage is discharged between the opposing tips (plus and minus pole) of an electrode. The arcing or spark gap causes an equalization of voltage between the two tips of the electrode whereby a hot plasma bubble is created. This bubble explodes in all directions, compresses the surrounding water, and generates a pressure > 10 MPa within only a few nanoseconds (10-9 ns).

SoftWave low intensity, unfocused energy is delivered via our patented parabolic reflector applicator in the form of parallel waves. SoftWave technology offers the ONLY UNFOCUSED SHOCK WAVE on the market. Despite this electrohydraulic shock wave energy in water traveling 5 times faster (3355mph) than in air (767 mph), it does not cause microtrauma.

SoftWave TRT Unfocused Tool

The SoftWave uses a patented unfocused applicator layout that allows it to spread energy to an area of both superficial and deep tissue soliciting a biological response to the intended area to initiate the body’s natural healing process in a non-invasive way.

This allows for a better outcome following treatment with a wider and deeper area than previously thought to reach in specific treatment.

 FAQs

  • Shockwaves elicit a strong cellular response. The sudden change in pressure caused by the shockwaves triggers the cell to respond as it would to trauma. In other words: shockwaves initiate a biologic healing response. Numerous studies show the release of growth factors, anti-inflammatory agents and an improved blood supply in response to SWTRT.

  • The procedure only takes 5-10 minutes. Much like an ultra-sound procedure, the treatment area will be covered with gel to ensure good shock- wave transmission. After coupling the therapy head to your body your medical professional will deliver a diagnosis specific number of pulses. The energy can be applied at your personal comfort level.

  • More than 80% of patients report improvement even after just one treatment. Depending on your particular condition you will likely be scheduled for 6-8 sessions. The final outcome depends on a variety of factors, but most studies report a healing rate of 65-85%.

  • Millions of people have received shockwave treatment without any significant side effects. In a few cases, patients experience some pain during treatment – especially when the treatment area is close to bone or is acutely in amed. This pain ceases immediately when the therapy head is moved from the sensitive area. In rare cases soreness may persist in the treatment area for 1-2 days after the procedure.
